An attractive Grade II Listed restaurant property in the heart of Shrewsbury has been sold to an overseas investor.
The premises at 77/77A Mardol, arranged over three floors and extending in total to approximately 2,942 sq ft, represented a prime retail investment opportunity
The property is home to Bistro Jacques, an authentic French restaurant, which fronts Mardol Head, on a 20-year lease which started in June 2011.
Offers in the region of £540,000 were invited by Towler Shaw Roberts for the freehold interest, subject to and with the benefit of the existing lease.
Toby Shaw, who handled the sale for TSR, said: “It again reflects the strong demand for town centre retail premises or investment properties.
“The building has been converted and extensively refurbished by the current tenant to provide an attractive restaurant arranged over the ground and first floors, with kitchen, office and toilet facilities to the first floor.
“A prominent town centre location within walking distance of Pride Hill and the main public car parks, it was identified as an exciting investment opportunity by the new owner.”
