An independent furniture and flooring retailer is set to open a showroom in Coventry, having taken on a new premises in a popular shopping area close to the city centre.
Arches Flooring and Beds is relocating from its current address at The Arches Industrial Estate in Spon End to 177 Daventry Road.
Property consultancy Harris Lamb’s Retail team let the three-story shop set in a busy shopping parade to the business on a five-year lease.
Head of Retail David Walton said: “This property is part of the popular Daventry Road Parade, close to a number of banks and major retailers including Asda, Greggs and Boots,
And located one mile from the city centre
“With a total floor-area of 2,103 sq ft, the retail unit will be fitted out as a showroom for Arches, with a stock room being dedicated to storage.
“Having formerly occupied premises on an industrial estate, the team at Arches Flooring and Beds were keen to move to a key shopping area. Daventry Road enjoys high levels of footfall, and the size of the unit suited the business’ needs.

Sara Hoddle, Of Arches Flooring and Beds, said: “We had been at our former address for 28 years, but people were finding it difficult to find us, and we decided to move to a more prominent site where we would benefit from passing trade.
“We’ve now refurbished the ground floor of the store, where will be showcasing our selection of branded flooring, and we aim to complete the first floor, which will be dedicated to beds, furniture and accessories, to officially open next month.”
Arches Flooring and Beds is known for supplying high-quality flooring brands such as Amtico, Karndean and Moduleo, furniture and accessories.
