Energy consultancy TNEI has moved into new premises in Glasgow after signing a five-year lease in the heart of the city centre.
The business instructed commercial property firm Harris Lamb to identify and acquire a suitable new site to accommodate its recent growth.
Andy Smith, of Harris Lamb’s Lease Advisory team, said: “TNEI has offices in Glasgow, Manchester, Newcastle and Cape Town, and had outgrown its existing premises in St Vincent Place. We were tasked with identifying new offices of the same calibre within the city centre on the firm’s behalf.
“Further to identifying an opportunity on the seventh floor at 80 St Vincent Street, just half a mile from TNEI’s previous address, we negotiated a five-year lease with the landlords, and the business has now completed a full refurbishment of the 1,672 sq ft office and relocated all 15 staff to the site,” he added.
TNEI, an independent specialist energy consultancy providing technical, strategic, environmental and consenting advice to organisations operating within the conventional and renewable energy sectors, established its Glasgow office in March 2012. Since then it has grown to a team of 15.
Nigel Tate, Financial Director at TNEI, commented: “We are grateful to Harris Lamb for their support and advice throughout the relocation process. Having helped us identify the size of office required, they provided us with a range of options and undertook viewings with us, handled negotiations and advised throughout the legal process. They are a trusted advisor having provided similar relocation advice at our Manchester and Newcastle offices.”
