One of the UK’s best vegan fast food restaurants is opening at Hanningtons Estate over the next few weeks. The Vurger Co. is fitting out its new store at 13 Brighton Place and will be bringing its delicious plant-based burgers to hungry Brightonians this April.
With existing stores in Shoreditch and Canary Wharf, this is the group’s first venture outside London. The brand has signed a long term lease on the 700 sq ft store, adjacent to The Flint House, Finisterre and Brass Monkey.
Neil Potts, Co-founder at The Vurger Co. comments, “When we saw this building and the Hanningtons Lane development, we knew it would be perfect for the next stage in our expansion plans. We know many of our London customers commute from, or visit Brighton regularly, and that there is a demand for innovative, plant-based food. We hand craft every single burger with delicious vegetables taking the limelight.
“When we started The Vurger Co. back in 2016, there was a severe lack of places to eat that had a sustainable and ethical focus, that could leave us feeling good about what we ate. All of the packaging in our restaurant is made from plants and is 100% compostable; we have a zero to landfill policy.”
Andrew Foulds, Managing Director at Redevco comments, “The Vurger Co will be a fantastic addition to the Estate and has a prominent corner position at the entrance to the new Hanningtons Lane. It will be housed in part of the former Hanningtons Department store, which has been lovingly restored.”
