Great Britain’s largest gym and fitness operator is moving its IT department to larger premises near Southampton.
PureGym, the first gym in Britain to gain one million members, will be relocating within the Botleigh Grange office campus, Hedge End, in a deal through property consultancy Vail Williams.
The gym operator is moving to 5,200 sq ft at Burlington House, just an exercise ball’s throw away from its 2,600 sq ft office at Jellicoe House.
Both three-storey properties at the office campus, along with a third on site, Vanbrugh House, are owned by Northwood Regional UK.
PureGym, which recently acquired Fitness World, has more than 260 gyms nationwide, with 24-hour opening times and no contractual commitment.
Russell Mogridge is a Partner who leads Vail Williams’ Solent Business Space Team, representing Northwood Regional UK at Botleigh Grange office campus.
He said: “PureGym’s IT department rapidly outgrew Jellicoe House after just three years and required larger premises at Botleigh Grange office campus, which we were able to accommodate in Burlington House offices.
“With the local relocation of PureGym, a high-quality ground floor office suite at Jellicoe House is now available to let, providing 2,423 sq ft.
“This presents a rare plug-and-play opportunity for a new occupier – they can move in without the need for refurbishment or reconfiguration, with 13 car spaces.”
Quoting rent for the office suite is £25 a sq ft, reflecting the prime office location 1.5 miles from Junction 7 of the M27 – the ‘Solent Corridor’ between Portsmouth and Southampton.
Southampton Airport Parkway railway station and Southampton Airport are also within five miles’ radius.
As well as open-plan accommodation and a generous foyer, the office suite includes a board room, kitchen, LED smart lighting and superfast internet connectivity for gigabits of data information transfer.
Russell said: “Given the calibre of occupiers here at Botleigh Grange office campus, the convenient location and high-quality office space, we anticipate strong interest from ambitious companies.”
Along with PureGym, occupiers at Burlington House include law firm Clarke Willmott, business finance company Paragon and recruiter Sheridan Maine.
Other major occupiers at the office campus include law firms Eric Robinson and Trethowans, global property and construction consultancy Gleeds, planning consultancy WYG and insurance brokers Towergate.
