Sweet Construct have been appointed as main contractor for a new build industrial warehouse at Royal Portbury Dock on behalf of The Bristol Port Company.
The Bristol-based firm has been selected to deliver the construction of the 7,000 sq m structure as part of the ongoing expansion plans at the Port and will be working alongside project manager, Mode Consult, to deliver this project.
Sweet Construct is a family run business that has been operating for over 40 years and offers services including self-delivered civil engineering, construction and fit out across a variety of industry sectors. It has seen significant and stable growth during the last 18 months, with the latest appointment adding to a portfolio of several projects in the Bristol and South West / South Wales region.
Head of Construction for Sweet Construct, David Rhys-Jones, said: “Building lasting relationships with local businesses is key for us and we are delighted to be working on this project for The Bristol Port Company, which we hope will be the start of a long and mutually beneficial relationship.”
