Team Lincolnshire will be returning to MIPIM, the world’s largest property expo, next month (10-13 Mar) to fly the flag for Lincolnshire.
The delegation, which includes more than 20 sponsors from across Greater Lincolnshire’s property and construction industry, will be showcasing the region on the global stage and highlight a number of key development sites and opportunities.
Driven by the Greater Lincolnshire LEP and Team Lincolnshire, the area has succeeded in establishing a recognisable presence in Cannes over the years. Chief executive of the Greater Lincolnshire LEP, Ruth Carver said the team is looking to build on the success of previous years.
She said: “For the past five years, our work at MIPIM has delivered real, tangible results and we are delighted to see developers and investors now involved in Greater Lincolnshire following our efforts in Cannes.
“We have a number of exciting investment opportunities this year and MIPIM is the perfect place to showcase them. The international scale of the property expo means it is a fantastic opportunity to put Lincolnshire on the map and we are looking forward to another positive year.”
During this year’s MIPIM, Team Lincolnshire will be focusing on promoting housing led growth and hotel provisions across the county to boost the visitor economy as well as investment opportunities in the market towns to pull them into the future.
A mixture a private and public sector companies, this year’s Team Lincolnshire sponsors includes: AM2 Architects, Bond Bryan, BSP Consulting, Cartwright Communications, City of Lincoln, Couch Perry Wilkes, CPMG Architects, Delta Simons, Dynamic Lincoln, Globe Consultants, Invest Gainsborough, Invest SK, Lindum Group, Longhurst Group, LK2 Architects, Morgan Sindall, Pygott & Crone, RizkMcCay, Roythornes Solicitors, Stirlin Developments, West Lindsey District Council and Willmott Dixon.
Nick Gregory, director at CPMG, said: “We’re proud to have been part of Team Lincolnshire for a few years now and find it an incredibly positive and proactive organisation. We really enjoy working in Lincolnshire and, with a growing portfolio of projects, we love the county’s positive attitude towards developing opportunities and bringing schemes to life.
“MIPIM is a vital part of our business development strategy thanks to its unequalled opportunity to network and generate business with likeminded people from the industry. Team Lincolnshire is therefore fantastic at supporting its members by making connections and creating a vibrant environment for the team to function and flourish.”
Richard Fielding, area director for Morgan Sindall Construction in the Midlands – a new addition to the Team Lincolnshire delegation, said: “As a Midlands-headquartered business, and a long-term construction partner of many local authorities in the region, we’ve been proud supporters of the collective Midlands UK presence since 2017.
“Team Lincolnshire continually makes a compelling case for the county’s strengths so it’s therefore no surprise to see civic leaders from the delegation involved in panel events about effective placemaking in urban centres. Providing modern leisure facilities is key to this. We’re currently on-site building a £6m leisure centre in Market Rasen and working collaboratively with councils in the area to support other construction projects. We are proud to be part of the delegation and looking forward to another productive MIPIM.”
Stephen Corbett, principal new business manager at Willmott Dixon, said: “We’re delighted to once again be attending MIPIM as part of the Team Lincolnshire delegation. Lincolnshire is an excellent place to do business and we have a number of exciting projects in the pipeline as well as recently winning an RICS award for the Lincoln Transport Hub. We’re therefore looking forward to getting out to Cannes and showcasing what the region is all about.”
Lincolnshire will once again be part of the Midlands UK Pavilion – a marquee that brings together the East and West Midlands regions. The Pavilion not only promotes the wider region as a thriving part of the UK economy, but also puts the spotlight on individual regions through its busy programme of business events during the week.
MIPIM will take place from 10 to 13 March and is centred round a large-scale exhibition in the Palais de Festival in Cannes in the south of France, which attracts tens of thousands of visitors.
