Legal heavyweight Bhavesh Amlani has made a move to rapidly expanding Midlands law firm Roythornes.
Bhavesh, who was formerly a sector head at national firm Shoosmiths overseeing a substantial business and team, has taken the role of heading up the Roythornes’ growing national property team. He will also sit on the Roythornes board.
Bhavesh’s colleagues Benjamin Smith and Emily Danson, real estate and development experts at Shoosmiths, join him as senior associates along with senior paralegal Sarah Ward.
Bhavesh said: “Roythornes has a fantastic reputation in the real estate sector with reputable clients and I am looking forward to adding value across the whole business.
“Roythornes is a well-known and rapidly growing company with excellent strength and breadth of property expertise. It has a solid East Midlands base and a growing presence in Cambridgeshire. It is also debt free and has the agility to adapt quickly to client and market needs. My move to Roythornes creates a perfect synergy between the East and West Midlands among both new and existing clients.”
Bhavesh has extensive experience of working with major plc clients in addition to a wide variety of property organisations and investors.
Vember Mortlock, managing director of Roythornes, said: “We have known Bhavesh and his team for many years and their appointment is a perfect fit for Roythornes, which now has a presence in Birmingham.
“This is an excellent opportunity for Roythornes and a step forward in meeting our objective of significantly building the national property team across the UK. Property is our key focus with a substantial team of 13 partners and over 60 fee earners. Roythornes has bold plans for the future and we see Bhavesh and his team being a major part of our success.”
