Throughout last year there was, once again, a significant uplift in both Property and Asset Management instructions with a number of mandates expanding the geographic coverage.
Recent instructions include Monolution, the Havant based component and tooling supplier to both F1 and aerospace industries, retail outlets on Emsworth High Street and two portfolios of ten shops and a residential dwelling on behalf of a private investor.
These appointments expand the Management Division’s geographic reach to cover much of the country – from Hartlepool in the North, Portland in the West, and Lancing in the East, with Portsmouth being the most southerly point.
The current remit managed from Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell’s Portsmouth offices now includes 50 estates and individual units, bringing in a multi-million rent roll from 100s of tenants across the south coast, to include London Berkshire, Sussex, Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire and further afield
Richard Nuttall, Director of Sheffield and Regional Properties Group, owner of The Tanneries Industrial Estate in Havant appointed Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell to manage and market the 15-unit estate in 2011. He says:
“We acquired The Tanneries in 1997. Since then we have undertaken significant improvements and refurbishment of the estate including resurfacing the car park and estate roads, installation of CCTV cameras and replacing the original asbestos cement roof on all 15 units with modern profiled and insulated composite sheet cladding.
“We appointed Holloway Illife & Mitchell to manage The Tanneries over 10 years ago and they have overseen the work during that time. Having been under occupied, it is almost fully occupied now, and it is rare a unit stays vacant for more than a few weeks.”
Head of Management Geoff Springthorpe added:
“We are delighted to have been instructed on several entirely different remits across the country. The experienced we have gained from managing both multi-occupied estates and individual units over the years, has given us great insight into what landlords and their tenants are looking for in a managing agent.
“We pride ourselves in establishing long term client relationships which often lead to us managing their properties across a wide geography, rather than having to have several agents acting for them.”
