Commercial agents at Harris Lamb have let a Derby warehouse to a haulage specialist.
The business was instructed by the Two Sisters Food Group, to secure a new tenant for the 13,195 sq ft building at 14-16 Cotton Brook Road which had become surplus to the business’ requirements.
After a good level of occupier interest in the property, Viking Transport Ltd has signed a 3 year lease for the property, which is located on the Sir Francis Ley Industrial Park.
Andy Groves, who oversaw the deal, said: “This property was particularly well-suited to a logistics specialist due to its location and large secure yard; the business park is located close to the M1 and is accessed via one of the city centre’s main arterial routes.
“Viking Transport is a well-established Derby based distribution and logistics firm handling high volumes of deliveries every day, and as a member of the Pallet-Track Network, a central Derby address was crucial to enabling it to maintain its great reputation.
“The business offers same-day courier service and warehousing, and needed to relocate its expanding Derby operation to fulfil the demand for its services. The modern warehouse, with its good loading access and yard areas, teamed with its convenient access links, made it an ideal unit to take the business forward.” he said.
