Building and project consultancy Paragon’s Bristol office has doubled its team in size to eight people after experiencing fast growth in the 14 months since it launched in the city.
During its first year in business, the Bristol office completed 3.65m sq ft of surveys and projects on a portfolio of office, industrial and retail projects across the South West, Wales and M4 corridor.
These included surveying Bristol’s largest commercial property deal in 2019, the 154,000 sq ft Temple Quay House building acquired for £73m by Alpha Real Capital in August. Overall, Paragon advised on three out of the four biggest city-centre commercial property deals in Bristol last year.
In addition, Paragon is leading a 50,000 sq ft Category A refurbishment at the South Plaza office building in Bristol city centre having conducted a survey of the 100,000 sq ft property. Other buildings surveyed include the 80,000 sq ft No 3 Capital Quarter offices in Cardiff and the 300,000 sq ft British Ceramic Tiles industrial facility in Newton Abbott, Devon.
The Bristol office opened in November 2018 and its clients also include Fidelity International, Melberg Capital, Spear Street Capital, Mayfair Capital Investment Management and Oxenwood Real Estate.
Paragon director, Paul Arthur, who is based in the Bristol office, commented: “This has been a very successful first 14 months for Paragon in Bristol. We saw significant commercial opportunity throughout the South West and Wales. The excellent projects and clients we have secured since opening show we have capitalised upon that and there is a great deal of scope for further expansion.
“Our dynamic, straightforward approach to property consultancy is distinct to Paragon, and it is a way of working our clients find refreshing. Most importantly, it enables us to deliver positive results, so we are looking forward to the opportunities to generate further growth throughout 2020 and beyond.”
Paragon is one of the UK’s largest independent building and project consultancies with a turnover of £22m and employing nearly 200 people. In addition to Bristol, Paragon has offices in London, Esher, Manchester and Edinburgh.
