Woodford and Company have recently let Units 7 & 8 Hamilton Close, Houndmills Industrial Estate Basingstoke to Euro Car Parts Limited, the specialist Car Parts – Distributor that is expanding across the country and has been looking to open a new depot in Basingstoke for some time.
The unit totalled 7,438 sq.ft. and was let on a new 10 year lease subject to a break at the 5th year.
Brian Pickett, of Woodford and Company, commented, “The previous tenants had gone into liquidation and had left many of their items including many old fire places and appliances in the property. Whilst on the face of it, these items had no value it seemed a waste of resources if it was all just going to be put into skips and thrown away. Therefore, with the assistance of The Fireplace Basingstoke Limited we arranged to clear out the unit and the money raised from the sale of the scrap items has gone to The Disasters Emergency Committee For Food for the Horn of Africa.”
