National M&E consultancy Couch Perry Wilkes (CPW) has announced the senior promotions of Nigel Carter and Fred Stannard to associates.
As highly valued members of the team, Fred and Nigel have more than 20 years of combined experience with the company. Fred has been with the CPW Nottingham office for 14 years, starting as an apprentice and working his way up to become a senior mechanical engineer before his promotion. Nigel has also been with the company for a number of years and helped set up the Derby office in 2014.
During their careers, both Fred and Nigel have successfully managed a number of high-profile projects. This includes work with the University of Derby STEM building, which helped the university gain accreditation with the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET), as well as the new HQ for British Sugar in Peterborough and most recently on the Waterside Apartments in Nottingham- a luxury development of 121 apartments and duplex penthouses by the River Trent.
Fred said: “Being promoted to associate is a very proud career moment for me and I’m looking forward to the exciting new challenges this role will have in store.
“l now have the opportunity to focus more on team management and supporting the directors, as well as continuing to deliver some great work on projects with our team of incredibly talented engineers.”
Nigel said: “Since working at CPW, I’ve been fortunate enough to be involved with a variety of successful projects and opportunities within the business. Being promoted to an associate role will involve looking after bigger budgets and provide even more opportunities to support clients across our diverse portfolio.”
Ash Cowdrey, director at Couch Perry Wilkes, added: “Both Fred and Nigel have been dedicated members of the CPW team for many years. In the time they have been with us, their hard work and expertise has been an integral part of the growth we’ve witnessed.
“As a business, we take pride in highlighting our exceptional staff. Both promotions are incredibly well deserved and we’re looking forward to watching their further growth throughout the company.”
