Thursfields Solicitors has recruited an experienced American lawyer to join the Commercial Property team at its Worcester office.
Katherine Hall has joined the leading Midlands law firm after spending the last five years working in the Worcester market having trained at a local firm and qualifying as a UK solicitor in August 2015.
Tony Gibb, a director in Thursfields’ Commercial Property team, said: “We’re delighted to welcome a lawyer of Katherine’s experience to our Worcester team, and we’re sure she’ll add to our strength in the region.
“It will be really useful to have someone on the team who has a different perspective from her background in the USA, but who’s also fully qualified in UK law as we deal with transactions involving US companies.
“We’re pleased at how Thursfields’ growing reputation is making the firm increasingly attractive to top lawyers like Katherine.”
Ms Hall was born and brought up in the USA and was educated in English and Journalism at the University of Texas and then in Law at the University of Houston.
She gained experience in family law, general civil matters and appeals work in Texas and also lived in New York before moving to the UK in 2013 and qualifying via the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Scheme.
Ms Hall, who lives in Worcester, said: “I was initially attracted to Thursfields because of its reputation as a respected practice, and I’ve been impressed by everyone I have met.
“I am excited to be joining the team, getting to know my colleagues and acting for clients not only in and around Worcester, but the wider region.”
She added: “I look forward to developing my career here and contributing to the firm’s continued expansion.”
