Ashfords LLP, one of the UK’s leading law firms, with nearly 500 staff and offices throughout the South West and in London, is pleased to announce that it has recruited 14 new trainee solicitors. The trainees will work across all five of the firm’s offices within the South West region. Also, for the first time, two will be based in the firm’s London office, following its merger with Rochman Landau earlier this year.
Over the next two years, trainees will spend six months working in each of four different ‘seats’ of the law, ensuring they develop a broad range of skills before they qualify. In particular, they are able to gain invaluable experience from the quality and variety of legal work they undertake on behalf of the firm’s very strong client base. . The new trainees are: Aimee Davies, Charlotte Heffernan, Paul Hilton, Hannah Rees, Dominic Ring, Daniel Sefton, Amy Shaw, Danielle Spalding, Matthew Tinsley, Emma Wherry, Laura Wuerzer, Nichola May, Beth Nicolls and Rebecca Rous.
Ruth Murray, Training Partner at Ashfords, commented: ” We take it as read that the best candidates for our trainee roles will be bright, personable and have an excellent academic record. What we are also looking for is passion, enthusiasm, confidence, creativity and the ability to communicate. These are all qualities that our new recruits have in abundance.
Our trainees play a crucial part in the growth of the firm, so we only recruit the best. We believe it is important to invest in the development of our trainees, as we see them as our future partners – so we train them to a very high standard.”
