A Birmingham commercial estate has reached full capacity further to the letting of its final vacant unit by agents at Harris lamb.
Acting on behalf of Cathedral Property, the business’ commercial agency team has let Unit 9 on Chelmsley Wood Industrial Estate, on Waterloo Avenue, to AM Insulation Supplies Ltd.
The letting of the 2,444 sq. ft. unit takes the popular business park to full capacity, demonstrating the continuing demand for industrial stock throughout the Midlands.
AM Insulation Supplies has signed a new lease at the asking rent of £17,000 per annum (exclusive).
Sara Garratt, who oversaw the letting, said: “Commercial space throughout the region has been at a premium for some years now, and this is the latest industrial estate in the Midlands to reach capacity.
“There is an unrelenting demand from businesses seeking warehouse space in the centre of the country with loading areas and good UK access links, and this opportunity fulfilled those requirements.
“Chelmsley Wood is a popular estate, favoured for its close proximity to the NEC, Birmingham Airport and Birmingham International railway station and Junction 4 of the M6, and we had a lot of interest from potential occupiers keen to lease the final opportunity at the site with AM Insulation Supplies securing the unit on a 3 year lease.”
Sara added that the business is currently marketing a number of speculative opportunities within the region as developers seek to provide more industrial solutions to meet the ongoing demand.
