JMW Solicitors’ Real Estate team has advised property developer Northhold Group on the acquisition of its latest plot in the village of Steeple Claydon, Buckinghamshire, purchased from Kier Living.
The deal will see the delivery of a new, 4,000 sq. ft. convenience store, to be operated by Co-operative Group Food Limited.
The store will be a key accompanying amenity for Kier’s new residential scheme in the village, which will comprise 90 two, three, four and five-bedroom homes.
Northhold Group is a privately-owned multi-asset investment company, focusing on property investment and development, with a strong construction and house building presence.
Kier Living is the homebuilding division of Kier Group, one of the UK’s largest combined property, construction and services companies.
Vanessa Warbrick, Development Surveyor at Northhold Group, said: “We have a great deal of experience in delivering convenience stores to support additional amenity provision and choice for communities, and I’ve no doubt that this latest location will prove very popular. It will be a valuable new amenity, not only for the residents of Kier’s new housing development, but also for the wider community of Steeple Claydon. We are looking forward to working with Kier to deliver this project in 2020 and anticipate a start on site in Q1.”
Thomas Pearson, Real Estate Partner at JMW Solicitors, said: “We are pleased to have been able to advise Northhold Group on this latest acquisition. Northhold is well-known for its specialism in the delivery of convenience stores – all unfailingly designed and built to a high-standard, with the needs of the local community front of mind. We look forward to working alongside the team as the development takes shape.”
