International construction and property consultancy, Thomas & Adamson, has appointed Peter Courtney as Associate Director to support the company’s ambitious growth plans in London.
Courtney brings a wealth of strategic Project Management experience to the London team, having held director-level roles at Pellings, CBRE, and Project Solutions Technical Solutions in a career spanning more than 18 years. Most recently, he was Senior Associate Project Director at AMDAS Management Ltd, where he managed the delivery of a portfolio of projects worth a combined £850m, as well as overseeing client retention and business development activities.
In his new role at Thomas and Adamson, Courtney will be responsible for generating sustainable new workload and future opportunities, by cross selling business activities while helping improve and deliver project standards and outputs in the Project Management department.
John Miller, partner at Thomas & Adamson, said: “Peter’s strong track record and knowledge of the London and South East property and construction market means he will be a valuable asset to the team as we look to continue growth south of the border. Despite a significant portion of our revenue coming from clients based in Scotland, London remains a key region for us and we’re committed to doubling our revenue in the capital within the next two years. “
“Due to a lack of undeveloped prime new build sites available across London, we’re already seeing a marked increase in planning applications for office refurbishments and alterations from clients. We also anticipate strong growth across both residential and mixed use to continue unabated for the next 18 months or so, regardless of the wider economic and political uncertainty caused by Brexit.”
Courtney’s appointment follows the appointment of the company’s first business development director, Vincent James, in London since the firm opened its office in 2001.
