Nationwide waste management company CSG has acquired 9 acres at Delta Properties’ newly released extension of Central Park, Bristol, at Severn Road in Avonmouth, the second deal in two weeks to be announced.
The deal marks the fourth sale in this new phase of Delta Properties’ developments in Bristol, following outstanding success in completing Central Park with occupiers including The Range, Amazon, DHL and Lidl.
The first phase of the Severn Road development, comprising just under 50 acres, benefits from the same extant planning consents which are in place at Central Park. The site has full planning consent already granted for open storage or new build warehouse and distribution, meaning no further planning permission is required prior to commencing development.
CSG has purchased a plot of just over 9 acres for strategic purposes.
Neil Richards, Managing Director at CSG, said: “We are always looking to expand our geographic coverage and the range of services we offer, helping us to deliver better value for our customers. This vital strategic acquisition enables us to do just that. Not only will we be better positioned to support our customers across the South West and South Wales, we’ll help to deliver prosperity to the area as the expansion of our operations will mean the creation of more jobs. This is an exciting time for us, as the size of the site and the resulting scope for growth will help to cement the future of CSG in the area for many years to come.”
Michael Shebson, of Delta Properties said: “We are delighted to welcome CSG as our latest occupier for this next phase of development. They join Dawsongroup Plc and Wren Kitchens who signed with us over the summer, and Wales & West Truck & Bus who signed with us two weeks ago.
“Our infrastructure programme including a new access road and utilities has just completed last week. We are in advanced discussions with other occupiers and there are now only a couple of plots left in this phase of development; occupiers are attracted by the location close to the motorway network with the anticipated opening of the new M49 junction, and the huge benefits the existing planning consent bring. We expect to announce further deals shortly, as well as bringing forward further phases of this exciting development.”
Delta Properties announced the first deal at Severn Road with Dawsongroup Plc in July, followed by a deal with Wren Kitchens in September. It announced a 7 acre purchase by Wales & West Truck & Bus Limited at the beginning of December.
Knight Frank and Avison Young acted on behalf of Delta Properties. CSG were not represented.
Plots ranging from 2 – 10 acres are still available for freehold purchase at Central Park, Severn Road.
