The design and development of the Football Association’s new National Football Centre will be one of the projects discussed at a major construction conference hosted by a Midland law firm.
Neil Brook, the man behind the high-profile centre in Burton, will head the list of influential speakers at the annual construction conference of Leamington Spa-based solicitors Wright Hassall on Friday, October 5.
Joining Brook as speakers at the event will be David Emery, director at Virtechs, Richard Smith, managing director of Opus Land, construction consultant Peter Ctori and quantity surveyor Martin King, a director of Castons.
Wright Hassall’s head of construction Philip Harris will also provide his annual construction law update at the eighth staging of this popular event.
Harris believes the profile and variety of speakers are the reasons behind the event’s success, and feels this is even more important in times when the industry is experiencing difficulties.
He said: “We are delighted that we have been able to attract such a fantastic line-up of speakers for this year’s construction conference.
“Now more than ever it is important that if you are going to take time away from the office to attend an event you need to be sure that it will be worthwhile.
“With this line-up of speakers and the calibre of attendees they will attract, this is guaranteed, which we expect will lead to a great turn out and some interesting debates.
“The fact that we have speakers that can contribute from different perspectives, along with our own construction specialists, should add to this so we hope to have as many people as possible along to add their views.”
The event is free to attend. Registration for the conference begins at 8.30am on Friday, October 5 before the conference starts at 9am, running until 1.30pm.
