Innes England’s Business Space team received a boost after promising surveyor Ross Whiting achieved chartered status with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Ross passed the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC), a qualification that requires a minimum of two years’ structured training, including practical experience, leading to full membership of the RICS.
Ross joined Innes England after graduating with a first-class degree from Nottingham Trent University in 2015. During his time at the firm, he has also been awarded the prestigious ‘Dealmaker of the Year’ for Nottinghamshire in the Estates Gazette Interactive competition.
He said: ‘I’m proud to be able to say that I’m now a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS) as the achievement is something widely recognised and respected by my clients, colleagues and the business community.
‘I’m looking forward to continuing my career at Innes England as a qualified chartered surveyor. Their invaluable support and training, both through monthly APC meetings and practical learning has helped me with this achievement.’
This is the latest success for Innes England’s RICS accredited training programme, which runs across the firm’s three regional offices in Nottingham, Leicester and Derby.
Managing Director Matthew Hannah said: ‘Qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor is a wonderful achievement and marks an important milestone in Ross’s career.
‘Attracting and nurturing talented young professionals through our APC programme is integral to our business and we’re proud to support our graduates throughout the learning process. Ross has gained a great deal of experience and has a very good understanding of the property market.’
