Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) has secured a new tenant at Aviva Investors’ industrial facility The Nelson Centre, Portsmouth.
Woodside Farms Ltd, a Jersey-based grower and distributor of fresh vegetables and flowers, has signed a ten-year lease for a 11,200 sq ft unit. The company has relocated its cargo and freight services from Chichester to better serve its customers.
The unit is one of two recently acquired by Aviva Investors at The Nelson Centre to complete its previous holding of Units 3-10. Both units have been fully refurbished and provide modern, accessible facilities including office space and a large secure yard.
The Nelson Centre sits a mile from the A27, which links to the M27/A3 road network. Both Portsmouth City Centre and the Continental Ferry Port are three miles from the property.
There is now just one newly-refurbished unit available to let at The Nelson Centre, comprising 18,789 sq ft including first floor offices, a secure yard and additional car parking.
Hellier Langston is joint agent on The Nelson Centre.
Elise Evans, Associate Director – Industrial & Logistics at Lambert Smith Hampton, said
“Woodside Farms Ltd’s decision to relocate highlights the appeal of both the facility and the area. Good quality second-hand properties such as The Nelson Centre are securing strong rents and we expect significant interest in the remaining refurbished unit given current strong take-up in the market.”
Alexandra Sorrill, at Aviva Investors, said
“Having recently acquired Unit 1 and 2 to take the rest of the estate under our ownership, we are pleased to secure Woodside Farms Ltd as a tenant in The Nelson Centre. The facility continues to perform well in our portfolio, given its location and good transport links.”
