LGIM Real Assets, advised by Curson Sowerby Partners and Montague Evans, has reconfigured space at Maybrook Retail Park, Stratford-upon-Avon and attracted new tenants Lidl, Currys/PC World (3 in 1 format) and Pets at Home.
Lidl has taken a 21,965 sq ft store, created by merging units 1 and 2, plus rear extension, on a new 20 year lease. Planning was widened to incorporate a mezzanine floor and provide additional food retail space. Pets at Home has taken a 15 year lease on 7,250 sq ft, relocating from elsewhere in Stratford and DSG has returned to the scheme, having last occupied space in 2014, taking a 10 year lease on 15,000 sq ft for its 3 in 1 format.
Rob Codling, Fund Manager at LGIM Real Assets said: “We are pleased that we were able to respond to our occupiers needs and following a significant refurbishment and reconfiguration of the units, we have fully repositioned this retail park, which has resulted in this strong occupier line up for Stratford-upon-Avon.”
Georgie Brooks of Curson Sowerby Partners comments, “By negotiating the surrender of both Carpetright and Office Outlet’s leases, we were able to provide the right combination of space for Lidl and create the right environment to attract DSG back to the Park and for Pets at Home to relocate to the scheme.”
Only the former Carphone Warehouse unit, comprising 2,500 sq ft, is now available to let. The unit benefits from an Open A1 consent and would be suitable for a variety of other uses subject to planning. Contact LGIM Asset Management, CSP or Montagu Evans for further details.
