A long-established Salisbury kitchen company is relocating its showroom from the city centre to an out of town location with ample parking.
Jones & Company has acquired a modern unit at Castlegate Business Park, Old Sarum in a deal brokered by property consultancy Myddelton & Major.
Quoting rent for the 6,336 sq ft (588.61sq m) Gigant House industrial/warehouse unit was £35,000 per annum and the company has agreed a 20-year lease as they required more storage/warehouse space.
Myddelton & Major Partner Dean Speer said: “Jones & Company has been part of the fabric of Salisbury for more than 50 years in various guises and I was delighted to help secure this larger base.
“The company was founded in 1945 as a traditional ironmonger within Blue Boar Row and Endless Street. Trading was transferred to its current site in Rollestone Street which was expanded in 1990.
“Many of the large team of expert fitters have been working with the company for more than 25 years and carry out all aspects of kitchen and bathroom installation, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, gas installations, tiling and decorating. They will have the same team and the same high standards”.
Castlegate Business Park is situated alongside the Old Sarum Airfield, approximately one-and-a-half miles north of Salisbury city centre. Access is via The Portway, which links directly to the A345 Salisbury to Amesbury Road.
The unit is positioned on the southern edge of the business park, overlooking the airfield and comprises a modern industrial/warehouse unit of steel portal frame construction with profile steel cladding to walls and roof and part brickwork elevations.
