Leading East Midlands-based law firm Nelsons has been ranked in five legal practice areas by Chambers and Partners, with eight partners also being recognised as ‘notable practitioners’.
The independently researched guide ranks law firms in the region in bands ranging from 1 (highest) to 6 (lowest), based on points including technical ability, client service, commercial vision, diligence, depth of team and professional conduct.
Nelsons has been ranked in band 1 for its family/matrimonial services in Nottingham. Its corporate team across the East Midlands and Nottingham-based personal injury and clinical negligence teams have been listed in band 2. The professional negligence department has been ranked in band 3.
Several partners were also listed as ‘notable practitioners’. Melanie Bridgen and Kelvin Henderson were recognised for their family/matrimonial expertise in Derby and Nottingham respectively, with Daniel Brumpton being listed for his professional negligence work. Bruce Williams and Lisa Preece were ranked for their work in clinical negligence and personal injury in Nottingham, and Chris Rees, David Kaplan and Duncan Taylor were also listed for their corporate law expertise in the East Midlands.
