Local people could be missing out! That’s the feeling of the newly appointed General Manager of the Ramada Hotel, in Cannock.
John Oxford, has worked in other Ramada Hotels and has been in the hospitality industry for more than 27 years. He believes the hotel has a tremendous amount to offer local businesses as well as local people and wants to make sure the community is involved in the business.
John said: “The hotel is an important asset to the area offering fantastic job opportunities, as well as useful facilities which can support community groups, businesses and societies.
“The hotel offers great career opportunities for people wanting a role in a company with International links and the management offer great training and development.
“I would also like to make sure community groups, societies and local businesses use the hotel to its full potential and I would personally like to support any local 2012 Games athletes needing training support, and who may benefit from the facilities being offered at the hotel.”
John has been in his role since August and is being supported by Alison Harrison, Regional General Manager, who is well-known in the industry and has strong links within the area due to her work as the General Manager of The Ramada Encore at the NEC, as well as her personal ties to the area growing up in Abbots Bromley.
The new management team understand the hotel already has a fantastic reputation with people coming to the area and using the hotel for business meetings, overnight stays and events, and they hope to develop more links with local business and the community to explain how the hotel can be more involved in the local area.
