One of Nottingham’s most unique office buildings has been sold in a landmark deal brokered by Richard Sutton, managing director at commercial property specialists NG Chartered Surveyors.
Wilford House, a 12,000 sq ft Grade 2 listed building is set in 1.5 acres of landscaped grounds, has been sold to an international engineering consultancy based in Nottingham for an undisclosed price.
The firm are relocating from two current central Nottingham locations to Wilford House to bring their team together in one building and create a centre of excellence within the industry. Richard Priestley of Exeid Commercial, who represented the purchaser said that he was pleased to have found the perfect new home for his clients business and that they had “big plans” for their new headquarters.
Richard Sutton acquired Wilford House for the vendors, a local family trust, back in 2004, with Gleeds as tenants. The sale is the next phase of the property’s interesting life.
Richard Sutton said: “Wilford House has the definite ‘wow factor’ – it’s a quintessentially British building. It really does have everything, from connectivity, accessibility to style and real personality.
“We have become trusted advisers to our vendor client and have secured a very satisfying deal using our market knowledge and experience to ensure the new owner continues to utilise this fantastic office space.”
