The UK’s leading facilities management and professional services company Mitie have opened a new office at The Chocolate Factory at Somerdale in Keynsham, consolidating a number of its Bristol sites into one primary location.
Staff from Mitie’s offices at Harlequin Office Park at Emersons Green, Argentum House on Coldharbour Lane and Temple Quay in Bristol relocated to The Chocolate Quarter development earlier this week.
Mitie has taken the entire first floor of the building. Its fit-out included the installation of 16 electric vehicle (EV) charge points for its fleet of EVs. The 17,000 sq ft letting leaves just one ground floor office suite of 5,200 sq ft available.
The letting demonstrates The Chocolate Factory’s pulling power as a business location, says Alder King’s Tom Dugay who negotiated the transaction.
“The St Monica Trust has created an exceptionally high quality office development in the Chocolate Factory. The property has attracted a select group of high calibre tenants who clearly recognise the value in providing their staff with an excellent working environment in a vibrant mixed use location and with a good range of on-site amenities.
“The on-going success of the scheme has certainly helped promote Keynsham as a sustainable business location.”
Other occupiers at The Chocolate Factory include Pukka Herbs, Independent Vetcare and St Augustine’s Surgery Medical Practice.
The Chocolate Factory forms part of the St Monica Trust’s wider Chocolate Quarter development which was completed in 2017. The development is home to 140 assisted living apartments, a 90-bed care home as well as a range of retail and leisure facilities.
