Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell and Vail Williams have been appointed by QinetiQ to market the new UK Centre of Excellence for Maritime Mission Systems being constructed at Portsdown Technology Park.
The new development is a partnership of QinetiQ and Solent LEP who are investing a combined £23m to bring forward a state of the art building that will create up to 100 new jobs as well as boost the local economy.
Part of the new development, which is well under way, is an Innovation and Collaboration Hub (ICH), sponsored by Solent LEP. The centre will offer opportunities for some of the best and most talented SMEs to develop specialist maritime systems for both the UK and international markets.
Philip Holmes, Senior Estates Surveyor for QinetiQ says:
“These state of the art, brand new offices will provide an excellent opportunity to work in a building with outstanding amenities in a secure location. Working alongside like-minded individuals will no doubt create new business opportunities and provide the right environment to grow and prosper.”
Tom Holloway, Director at Holloway Iliffe & Mitchell adds:
“The new centre of excellence from QinetiQ and Solent LEP is great news for the local economy. The continued investment by QinetiQ and its ongoing partnership with the Royal Navy at Portsdown Technology Park is exciting both for the South Coast and employ opportunities.”
