intu has signed up two more premium fashion retailers for intu Derby’s affluent catchment, with Hobbs and Whistles added to the popular destination’s line up.
Residents within intu Derby’s core catchment have the highest disposable income compared to any other UK city according to research by personal finance firm Finder.com, making the centre a destination of choice for a growing number of aspirational brands.
Whistles and Hobbs will open on level two of the centre alongside BOSS, which opened at intu Derby last month and Hotel Chocolat, which launched a new café store concept there last year.
Nick Round, regional managing director at intu, said: “Aspirational retailers are continuing to open in the most popular destinations where they can be sure their stores will flourish and intu Derby offers exactly the right location for the premium brands choosing to take space here.
“The centre has a strong retail and leisure mix, 22 million footfall and an affluent catchment boosted by the number of high-earning professionals working and living in and around Derby.”
New speciality coffee, casual dining and craft cocktail brand Bear has also launched its first shopping centre location at intu Derby this month as part of its nationwide expansion strategy.
FHP and JLL are joint agents for intu Derby.
