A prominent building right in the centre of Bedford has been sold by a leading property consultancy.
The building on the corner of Cauldwell Street and St Johns Street, which is currently occupied by three tenants including the NHS and digital marketing company iCentric, was sold freehold by Fisher German after it led a successful bespoke marketing campaign.
The property’s new owner assured current tenants that they will continue to be supported.
Mathew Brandon, an Associate at Fisher German’s Bedford office, said: “This is a prominent building which is located right on a ‘gateway’ into Bedford, so when we were instructed to sell it, we knew it could generate serious interest.
“To help make the property more appealing to buyers, we negotiated new, longer leases for two out of three tenants.
“We also undertook an extensive marketing campaign, which utilised our excellent knowledge of the local market and the potential of the site.
“Our planning team also identified the potential for future development too, so it represented a great opportunity for savvy investors.
“As expected, several interested buyers came to view the property before we were able to sell it four months later to the current owner.
“The buyer of the building has a strong connection to Bedford, and is looking forward to continuing the excellent relationship developed by the seller to the existing tenants and neighbouring businesses.”
