Specialist bed retailer Dreams has launched a new showroom in Worcester City Centre.
The established bed and furniture chain signed a 10-year lease on a retail unit in Lowesmoor Place as part of its UK expansion.
Retail agents at property consultants Harris Lamb secured the high-profile tenant having been instructed to market Unit C – a 4,960 sq ft building formerly occupied by American Golf.
Further to investing in fitting out the property, Dreams opened its Worcester Bed Store last month.
David Walton, Head of Retail, said: “It’s always a coup for the city when a major retailer chooses to site a store in Worcester. With more than 200 stores throughout the UK, Dreams wanted to secure a presence in the city and the Lowesmoor Place unit was an ideal site for the business due to its location, size and layout.
“A prominent warehouse retail unit, the property combines an open-plan sales area with both first-floor storage areas, making it a great fit for a furniture store.
“Having been open for just a few weeks, the store is enjoying high levels of footfall courtesy of its great location beside Aldi, the new store is close to the St Martins Quarter retail park.”
Noel Ward, Division Manager of Dreams, says: “We are very excited to have opened our brand new store in Worcester city. As a British business, it’s an honour to continue to grow our stores throughout the UK and we are delighted to bring our expertise to Worcester, helping residents get the perfect night’s sleep.”
