The property consultancy continues its recent growth trail with appointment of a surveyor to the firm’s offices in Woking.
Andrew Soane, a property development graduate from the University of Portsmouth, joins Vail Williams from Rushmoor Borough Council in Hampshire where he has spent the last four years.
During his time there, he was involved in the local authority’s property portfolio, undertaking estate management, lettings and lease renewals and brings with him a wide range of experience working on office, retail and industrial properties.
Geoff Fallon, Vail Williams’ regional managing partner for Surrey, commented: “We’re pleased to welcome the support of Andrew, who will be assisting our busy valuation team in Surrey. His experience working on varied caseloads on behalf of the council’s property portfolio will be very helpful indeed.”
Andrew joins Vail Williams’ property valuation team in Surrey which, following the firm’s relocation to Woking from Guildford a year ago, has grown to a team of over 16 people.
Speaking of his appointment, Andrew commented: “Vail Williams is well-known for its regional expertise in Surrey but is a rare breed in the market in the sense that it provides the full spectrum of property advice.
“ So, the prospect of being able to work on all manner of projects, including residential developments and offices, to industrial, retail and leisure, was an attractive one, which, together with the firm’s support for my training ambitions, made it an exciting opportunity for me.”
Andrew joins as a Surveyor Level 2 and is working towards achieving his APC qualification to become a chartered surveyor.
With APC examiners amongst its ranks, Vail Williams will support Andrew throughout his training, providing formal training and practical on-the-job experience to inform his portfolio of work, as well as interview advice and insight from some of the firm’s former APC interview panelists.
Andrew joined the firm on 21st October.
Vail Williams has eight offices across the UK, including Birmingham, Reading, Heathrow, London, Crawley and Woking, as well as Southampton and Portsmouth.
