Hortons’ Estate has released 5,238 sq ft of new office space at The Grand, Birmingham.
The family-owned property firm has invested more than £750,000 to create the Grade A accommodation at The Barwick, 16 Barwick Street, above Primitivo bar and restaurant.
To create the space, Hortons has converted meeting rooms and bedrooms at the former hotel, along with the bar which used to serve the Grosvenor ballroom.
The space in the three-storey building was designed by BPN Architects. The bespoke interiors, fitted out by Estilo Interiors, boast original features from the Grade II* listed building, including exposed brickwork and beams.
Nina Meeks from Hortons’ Estate said: “We renovated 10,000 sq ft of office space in The Grand on Colmore Row last year and the suites there were fully let within months of being released.
“There is very little Grade A space of this size in the market and we are confident that The Barwick will be well received. The premises can be let floor by floor, but equally it is a great opportunity for a single occupier looking for their own front door.”
Joint letting agents for The Barwick are Johnson Fellows and Lambert Smith Hampton. Suites are available from 1,165 sq ft.
The Grand Hotel is currently being refurbished with the 185-bed hotel scheduled to open in Summer 2020.
