Subsea technology and engineering company, Viper Innovations is set to expand its Aberdeen operations at Moorfield Group’s Innovation Park in Bridge of Don.
The award-winning company, a long-term occupier, has agreed terms to more than double its current floorspace to 2,500 sq ft at Suite A on the ground floor of Kettock Lodge on a ten-year term. The company has also retained an option on the neighbouring Suite B, which extends to 2,169 sq ft.
Viper has its head office in Portishead, near Bristol and provides cutting edge electrical cable monitoring technology for global industries across the world, including subsea and rail. The company was previously selected by the Department for International Trade (DIT) to be an Export Champion due to its success in overseas markets.
Max Nodder, director of Viper Innovations said:
“We’re a fast-paced business with growth aspirations, so we needed a location which would give us the space to grow, as well providing continuity for our staff. We’ve been based in Bridge of Don for the past eleven years and were keen to remain here – it’s a great location for our business and staff.”
Speaking on behalf of the parks’ owner, Moorfield Real Estate Fund III Mark Holmes, head of asset management at Moorfield Group added:
“We’ve worked closely with Viper to conclude this deal and are thrilled to see them expand here at the Innovation Park.”
Matt Park, associate from joint agent Knight Frank added:
“This letting is one of several successes that have been achieved at the Energy & Innovation Parks over the last year. It reinforces both the quality of the space available and the customer-focussed approach taken by Moorfield to attract and retain occupiers.”
