Stratton Creber Commercial has been named the most active commercial property agent in Devon for the tenth consecutive year, meaning the firm has let, sold and acquired more property than anyone else in the county’s commercial sector.
The Most Active Agent Award for Devon 2019 was received from EGi, the online arm of Estates Gazette, the property industry’s leading journal.
Recognised as one of the top accolades for commercial property agents, the award celebrates the number of transactions completed each year and marks another successful year for the regional firm.
Director of the Plymouth office Chris Ryland says: “We have the largest dedicated agency team in Devon with offices in Plymouth and Exeter and we are proud to lead the county’s commercial market.”
Centrally involved in a number of high-profile projects, Stratton Creber Commercial was instructed to dispose of one of the region’s largest manufacturing sites earlier this year. The former Kensey Foods in Launceston has already generated keen interest from investors and developers outside the region.
The firm is retained by award-winning developers Urban Splash at Royal William Yard, another landmark site, where the ground-breaking refurbishment of the Melville building will create 90,000 sq ft of office and leisure space.
Developers Thamesbank chose SCC to market their commercial units at Plymouth Cross, the former Derry’s department store at Derry’s Cross in Plymouth, and the agency team is also on board at The Merchant, a £4 million state-of-the-art commercial refurbishment in Notte Street, Plymouth, that provides 32,000 sq ft of open plan, high specification, contemporary office space.
In recent months, Dartington Hall Trust have instructed the Exeter office to sell three commercial investment properties, two of which are already under offer.
Ryland adds: “We are equally at home structuring major investment deals and supporting smaller transactions in the retail, office and industrial sectors.
“Despite a decade of winning these awards, we are not complacent. We have a genuine passion for property and a creative, pro-active culture that pushes us forward with a clear aim to continue to improve the service we offer clients.”
Damian Cook, Director of the Exeter office adds: “Despite the economic uncertainty and reports of ‘doom and gloom’ on the High Street, our offices are still highly active within all sectors the commercial property market which is proven by winning this award for completing the most deals.
EGi invited agents to submit records of their deals for the twelve months to August 2019 before compiling a comprehensive list of which agents had carried out the most deals across all commercial property types and across all regions of the UK.
