National construction contractor MCS Group has started a new era after completing its new £2.5 million Midlands headquarters.
The company’s 75 employees have moved from offices in Claverdon into its new 8,500 sq ft state-of-the-art HQ at the Opus 40 site in Haywood Road, Warwick.
It marks a major milestone for MCS Group, which is enjoying a period of sustained growth, delivering projects across the industrial, storage and distribution sector while also exploring potential new sectors.
The new building incorporates energy efficient design including solar powered external lighting, rainwater harvesting, and energy efficient lighting. It also has excellent air permeability and a green wall to enhance site bio diversity.
Group managing director Keir Edmonds, who established MCS Group 16 years ago, said: “We’ve made a major investment in the future of our business and our workforce.
“Our new offices will allow us to showcase our expertise in commercial construction whilst providing a statement headquarters building at the gateway to the Opus 40 site. We will continue our strategy of investing in improvements to the business, including supporting young talent with the launch of our new apprenticeship programme.”
The move will support staff by relocating close to the centre of Warwick, where they will have access to local amenities including child day care, schools, surgeries and shops, and a greater range of housing types.
It’s the second office project MCS Group has completed recently. It also delivered a multi-million-pound redevelopment and refurbishment of a global research company’s UK headquarters.
Kantar Millward Brown’s HQ at Tachbrook Business Park in Leamington Spa has been transformed by a total remodelling and extension of the original 1980’s offices. The two-year project was carried out over two phases to allow all employees to continue working at the site.
The company is focusing on a new strategy to take advantage of opportunities being presented by the commercial property market place, ensuring that the group achieves the correct mix of sector type and size of project whilst giving due consideration to the business structure and efficiency.
