Avison Young has strengthened its position in Manchester by combining its two city centre offices into a much larger presence at Norfolk House, creating a leading collaborative advisory platform.
Avison Young is leading the way in commercial property advice globally, nationally and locally. The team has a strong presence across the whole property lifecycle, with in-depth knowledge across all sectors. The consolidation to a single office in Manchester creates a multi-discipline offer under one roof, to provide seamless and joined up advice for clients.
Avison Young opened its first office in Manchester at St James Square following the acquisition of WHR Property Consultants LLP in 2017. In February 2019, Avison Young further expanded with the acquisition of GVA, which had itself recently undergone a major expansion with the acquisition of HOW Planning in May 2018.
The consolidation of both offices signifies the creation of a more collaborative, transactional-focused hub in the heart of the city centre, which will benefit clients requiring multiple skillsets to deliver complex projects.
Mark Williams, principal and regional managing director at Avison Young Manchester, said: “The consolidation of the two Avison Young offices in Manchester represents a significant step forward in the integration of three well known Manchester businesses. The Norfolk House office now has a staff of nearly 200, offering considerable resource, expertise and deep market knowledge to clients in the regional market, complemented by our enhanced national and global coverage. These are truly exciting times for Avison Young.”
