One of the biggest fitness franchises in the UK, énergie Fitness, has announced it is to open a 6,000 sq ft gym at Eastern Business Park in Old St Mellons, Cardiff.
The Park, owned by Robert Hitchins, is in Newport Road, next to the main A48 leading into Cardiff from the M4.
The club will give people in the Cardiff area low-cost access to first-class fitness facilities when it opens on November 25.
énergie Fitness will provide 30+ classes per week and will feature state-of-the-art fitness equipment including Precor Preva cross trainers, treadmills and bikes plus a free weights area, an Olympic Lifting Platform, cardiovascular equipment and discounted MyZone heart-rate monitors.
énergie Fitness Cardiff will also feature an innovative training zone called thé Yard, unique to énergie Fitness. Designed as group sessions, thé Yard classes combine a high-intensity routine within a circuit-based training zone with punch bags, jump boxes, slam balls and other body-strengthening equipment.
New franchisee James Kempton, 37, has given up a career in banking to open énergie Fitness in Cardiff.
“One of our key strengths will be how we make members feel and to ensure they get the most from their experience with us. When a member walks in, they will be greeted with a friendly smile,” he said.
Robert Hitchins’ Asset and Development Manager John Jones welcomed James and énergie Fitness to Eastern Business Park.
“énergie Fitness is an excellent fit for us at Eastern Business Park, with the health and wellbeing of employees critical to the productivity of modern companies. The campus-style environment at Eastern Business Park which includes the newly opened ‘ninety degrees restaurant’ is perfect to accommodate such a facility. We wish énergie Fitness every success in this new venture,” he said.
