Equiem, the global leader in commercial tenant experience technology, has announced a further seven deals in the UK, taking the company’s presence in the UK and Ireland to over 10 million sq ft of prime commercial space in total.
Founded in Melbourne in 2011, Equiem expanded to the UK in the summer of 2017, launching at International Quarter London, Stratford. Since then, the company has rolled out its market-leading tenant experience app across 16 sites in the UK and Ireland, with more than 21,000 people registered to the platform across both countries. Equiem enjoys market-high user registrations to its platform, with an average of 70% of the population of each site signed up in the UK and Ireland.
The latest deals, which together comprise over 4.2 million sq ft of prime commercial space, have seen Equiem launch its technology at:
- Broadgate Quarter (London)
- Nuveen’s 70 St Mary Axe (London)
- Spear Street Capital’s Thames Valley Park (Reading)
- Arlington’s Manbre Whaf (London), Oxford Business Park (Oxford), and Uxbridge Business Park (Uxbridge)
- And at a business park in Reading for an undisclosed client
Equiem is the global leader in tenant experience technology. Their app engages over 145,000 users occupying 60 million sq ft of commercial real estate worldwide and serves more corporate tenants (8,900) around the world than any other provider. The firm’s platform helps landlords attract and retain occupiers, deliver seamless tenant communication, supercharge onsite retail and services, and unlock additional asset value.
In August, Equiem announced the completion of its largest ever capital raise, securing more than £7 million from a number of different investors – representing the biggest single funding round reported by any commercial tenant experience technology company to date. The raise also coincided with the launch of the latest iteration of Equiem’s market-leading tenant experience platform, Equiem NEXT, which delivers a range of updated features and services, including updated apps for iOS and Android, and the next generation of e-commerce, space bookings, tenant analytics, and events and engagement.
Commenting on the new deals and the firm’s ongoing progress, Bronny Wilson, Equiem’s Regional Head for the UK and Ireland, said:
“These latest deals are a reflection of the fantastic momentum we have built in the UK since launching here just two years ago. To have passed the 10 million sq ft milestone and to have gained 21,000 users in such a short space of time is a real testament to the hard work of our team, as well as the exceptional demand we are seeing for our transformative tenant experience technology. Over 50% of our clients roll out a second site with us within six months of launching a first and we are delighted to be furthering our partnerships with a number of our existing clients, as well as working with both Nuveen and Arlington for the first time.
“Over the last two years, there has been a real sea change in the commercial real estate market in the UK and Ireland. Occupiers now recognise the importance of the workplace in helping them to attract and retain top talent, and in turn many landlords are seeking to greatly improve the environment and experience they can offer, in a bid to get ahead in the leasing market. Technology like ours is playing a big part in this ongoing evolution of the workplace and we are confident that our market-leading platform will continue to enable landlords to seamlessly navigate this new landscape, and significantly raise the bar in terms of the experience they are able to provide their tenants.”
