Eshton has sold its prominent motor trade showroom site in Shipley, West Yorkshire, to Cobb and Jagger Motorcycles to support the dealer’s relocation and expansion.
The development on Salts Mill Road, which is just minutes away from Cobb and Jagger’s current site, will house a new showroom for its growing range of Triumph and Ducati motorcycles.
Leeds-headquartered commercial developer, Eshton, purchased the Shipley site in January this year, which was previously home to JCT600’s Vauxhall dealership.
The sale follows a series of property transactions by Eshton within West Yorkshire, with its continued focus on matching occupiers with quality commercial space that suits strategic growth plans, resulting in a recent sale in Stourton and acquisitions in Castleford and Wakefield.
James Chapman, managing director at Eshton, said: “When it comes to motorcycles, Cobb and Jagger is a household name in Yorkshire and we’re delighted to have provided a facility that gives this family-run dealership a perfectly-suited base to support their growth ambitions and expand their product offer to customers.
“Our focus isn’t just to attract new occupiers into a location, but to also provide properties for local organisations that may have outgrown their current premises or need a new site that meets their changing needs. Every property that we acquire is suited to a variety of uses and located in highly sought after areas that have a real lack of commercial floor space, and Shipley’s major regeneration over recent years provides huge potential to Cobb and Jagger and its surrounding occupiers.”
Knight Frank in Leeds advised Eshton on the sale of the showroom.
