Tech firm Interact Software has signed a deal to move its UK headquarters to Windmill Green in Manchester City Centre, FORE Partnership’s innovative office building.
The international enterprise software company will occupy close to 13,000 square feet across the fifth floor of the redeveloped Grade A office.
Interact is a software-as-a-service business that provides rich digital workplace experiences for its customers and their employees. The company’s platform has over one million users across more than 850 organisations. Customers include Sony Interactive Entertainment, LUSH Cosmetics, Travelex, Channel 4 and AO.com, as well as many public sector, NHS and social housing organisations.
Interact is moving to Windmill Green from Altrincham. The move is a direct reflection of the sustained growth of the company and the desire to be based in an office that reflects its own innovative and creative brand.
Simon Dance, CEO of Interact, said: “We were drawn to the sense of community that is being created at Windmill Green and the opportunities for collaboration that the state-of-the-art building offers.
“Having this kind of forward-thinking space in the heart of the city, with such amazing views, so well-connected to transport, other businesses, and leisure offerings for our employees is unusual and really gels with our values.”
Although Interact has been well established in the UK market for more than 10 years, the company has enjoyed exceptionally strong growth in recent years. This is down to their solid UK customer base coupled with success in the US – which they have been recently recognised for with a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade.
As well as their UK headquarters, Interact has offices in New York, supporting customers across the EMEA, North American and Australian markets.
Basil Demeroutis, Managing Partner of FORE, said: “We are delighted that Interact has chosen Windmill Green as its head office and welcome them to the Windmill Green community. We have designed an innovative and collaborative workspace, which will energise and inspire the people who work here.”
Windmill Green is Manchester’s very first BREEAM “Outstanding”-rated multi-let building. It has also achieved WiredScore “Platinum” status, signifying the building’s best-in-class digital connectivity and infrastructure, and has recently been awarded Cycle Score “Platinum” accreditation, celebrated as Manchester’s most cycle-friendly building.
The building boasts a rooftop terrace with stunning views over the cityscape and its own apiary, a cycle hub with a fleet of Swifty Scooters fleet and a Brompton Bicycle docking station. The living green wall is Manchester’s largest.
The highly sustainable, low-carbon building was developed by FORE as a bustling community in the heart of Manchester on Mount Street.
Knight Frank, Lambert Smith Hampton, and Sixteen Real Estate are the joint agents for Windmill Green and advised FORE on the letting.
Matthews Goodman advised Interact on the letting and Sheila Bird Group is assisting Interact with the creative fitout of their space.
