An expanding firm of chartered surveyors and property managers has appointed a familiar face as a Director.
Joe Mellery-Pratt has returned to Bournemouth-based Rebbeck Brothers as its business continues to develop.
The 35-year-old was previously with the firm for seven years before leaving to progress his career at a national firm.
However, he was away for just a year before the lure of working in a new role at Rebbeck Brothers, one of the town’s longest established businesses, tempted him back.
Joe, who will be responsible for property management and new business, said: “I am glad to be back – it was an easy decision to make, even though I enjoyed a successful year away.
“It was very much the potential for the firm’s development and Matthew’s excellent vision for the future that was behind my decision to come back.
“The property industry is facing many challenges this year – regulation, demand for new builds, the future of leasehold, health and safety – and at Rebbeck Brothers we are determined to stay ahead of the field.”
Managing Director Matthew Strong said: “We welcome Joe back home to Rebbeck Brothers as we continue to expand our business. We are set for a busy autumn and are glad to have someone as experienced as Joe back in the fold. He has a particularly important role to play, especially with major new projects coming on board.
“Joe will help our diligent and hard-working team to continue to provide their exemplary service to clients. Their dedication is second-to-none and has, as ever, been consistently excellent in delivery across all aspects of our multi-faceted business.”
Joe’s return continues the long association of Rebbeck Brothers with the Mellery-Pratt family which began when his grandfather Horace Mellery-Pratt, a chartered surveyor from London, joined the practice soon after the second world war.
His father Tim, a renowned powerboat racer, and his uncle Anthony have both been playing major roles with the firm since the 1970s and are the majority shareholders.
Joe, who is married with two young children, enjoys sailing a classic 1950s X One Design yacht in Poole Harbour and is also a qualified Yacht Master and in a former career delivered super yachts and motorboats to the Mediterranean.
