Schroder Real Estate Investment Management (SREIM) has announced the appointment of Jonathan Harris as the new Head of Continental Europe. Jonathan will be based in London and have responsibility for the real estate investment divisions in Continental Europe. He will join the SREIM investment committee and report to Duncan Owen, the Global Head of Real Estate.
Jonathan brings a wealth of knowledge to the role with over 25 years’ experience in the industry. His experience includes investing principle and co-investment capital as well as detailed knowledge of complex cross border transactions and the acquisitions of real estate operating platforms. Jonathan has considerable experience of higher return strategies including value-add, development, operating platforms, and in unlocking value via corporate and other more complex real estate transactions.
Prior to joining Schroders, Jonathan worked at Macquarie Group where he led successful teams advising and investing in European and Asia-Pacific real estate across a wide range of sectors and strategies via both private and public capital markets.
Duncan Owen, Global Head of Real Estate at Schroders, said:
“I am delighted to welcome Jonathan to Schroders and the Real Estate team. His experience and team orientated approach will be a significant benefit to our pan-European strategies and investors. It will enable Schroders to continue our development offering both actively managed core as well as increasingly value-add investment strategies for our clients across our teams based in Paris, Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich, Stockholm and Milan.”
Jonathan Harris, Head of Continental Europe, said:
“I am thrilled to be joining the successful real estate business at Schroders. I am looking forward to working with our talented teams across Europe to continue to develop the business for the benefit of our clients.”
