Investor interest in the industrial property market has continued over the summer with the Huntingdon office of Barker Storey Matthews – now part of Eddisons – confirming the sale of a unit on the Somersham Road Industrial Estate in St Ives to a holding company with land and manufacturing assets.
With Barker Storey Matthews acting as sole agent on behalf of the vendor in the sale of the commercial premises, The Clifton & Burton Group – one of St Ives’ principal employers – is the new owner of 28 Burrel Road on the estate.
The two storey warehouse, with offices and a secure yard and parking, is a modern, detached industrial unit of 1,064 sq m (11,448 sq ft) with frontage on Burrel Road.
While the sale price achieved remains confidential, Barker Storey Matthews was marketing the property for sale with a guide price of £800,000.
Commenting on the sale, Stephen Power of Barker Storey Matthews’ Huntingdon office said, “Commercial property investor demand in the area remains strong, particularly in the industrial sector. Good quality assets in strategic locations are continuing to attract investor and owner occupier interest.”
