Cluttons, the property consultancy, has appointed Chris Jakes as head of lease advisory and compulsory purchase to further boost its offer in this area.
Previously at CBRE and Kinney Green, Chris is a RICS Registered valuer who brings a wealth of experience in advising both landlord and tenants on rent review and lease renewal negotiations across all commercial sectors throughout the UK and will provide clients with a range of lease advisory services.
Chris also has expertise in compulsory purchase and compensation and has advised both acquiring authorities and claimants on major infrastructure and regeneration projects throughout the UK including The Thames Tideway Tunnel Project, Crossrail, HS2 and the Olympic and Legacy CPO. He also has experience of arbitration, The Upper Tribunal (Lands Chamber) and ADR having acted as independent valuer at dispute resolution between claimants and acquiring authority on The West Hendon Regeneration CPO.
