The final unit at Discovery Business Park in Yaxley has been let to franchise business, The Wooden Floor Store.
Confirmation comes from Barker Storey Matthews, now part of Eddisons, who has been the sole agent under instruction at the brand new development of 12 purpose-built, terraced, semi-detached and detached light industrial warehouse, trade counter and showroom units fronting Broadway in Yaxley, to the south of Peterborough city centre.
The Wooden Floor Store – which opens for business this month (August) and will serve a domestic residential and a commercial contract customer base – will occupy Unit 10, a 176.5 sq m (1,900 sq ft), terraced unit, next to Screwfix.
According to Richard Jones, Director, Barker Storey Matthews Peterborough -who has been the lead agent at Discovery Business Park since it was launched (June 2017) – the presence of Screwfix as an early occupier has been a draw other business occupiers at the Park, many of whom operate in property and construction-related sectors.
He added, “Excepting Screwfix, the type and range of units at Discovery Business Park has particularly suited small and medium-sized enterprises who are gearing up for the next phase of business development.
“More planned commmercial development on this side of Peterborough will see modern purpose-built premises to meet the requirements of business operators in the way Discovery Business Park and the nearby Eagle Business Park have done.”
