Legal & General has announced that BJSS has taken 30,490 sq ft at 1 Whitehall Quay, Leeds. The IT and business consultancy has agreed a ten-year lease and will take occupation of the grade A office building in its entirety.
The property, which is situated in the heart of Leeds’ west end adjacent to the River Aire, has been comprehensively refurbished by the owner, Legal & General, with a £1.5 million investment, to provide high quality and value for money accommodation.
Matt Jarvis, senior fund manager at Legal & General, said: “We are pleased to welcome BJSS to the building. The letting is testament to our team of asset managers’ ability to create high-quality office space in a location where there is a significant supply/demand imbalance.”
Richard Thornton, director at JLL who advised on the deal, added: “Legal & General has capitalised on the current city centre supply pressures for good quality offices by completing the refurbishment of the entire building.
“1 Whitehall Quay’s location next to the railway station and the city’s extensive retail and leisure amenities make this a great choice.”
JLL, working alongside Colliers International and Knight Frank, advised Legal & General. Heaney Micklethwaite represented BJSS.
