A Droitwich building has been bought for more than £500,000 by a Midlands developer in order to relocate its regional head office to the town.
Harris Lamb’s Agency team was instructed to place Innovation House, a 4,584 sq ft self-contained office in George Baylis Road on the market on behalf of Deritend International Ltd – trading as Doncasters Precision Castings – with an asking price of £525,000.
Sara Garratt, who oversaw the sale, said; “As a modern two-storey office close to Droitwich town centre, we had a lot of interest in Innovation House: the building is modern, secure and fitted out to a high specification, with parking for 28 cars.
“With the town centre itself and the railway station both less than half a mile from the property, and the M5 less than two miles away, the building was an ideal location for businesses seeking a central UK location with excellent access links.
“As such, following a number of offers, the building was sold to Midlands housebuilder Cameron Homes for above the asking price. The business wanted to relocate from its existing regional office in Stratford-upon-Avon to a larger premises in order to expand its Southern division.
Cameron Homes’ growing ‘South’ team has a range of housing developments sites in Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, and now plans to move into Oxfordshire.
The business, which was founded in Staffordshire in 1993, is now set to refurbish the offices before relocating to the site by the end of the year.
