One of Cardiff’s most historic arcades has welcomed its newest tenant, Cartref a Gardd, Wales’ bath and body specialist. Signing a new five year lease on the last available unit within the Arcade, the company that provides Welsh handmade products join fellow neighbours Hotel Indigo, Marco Pierre White’s rooftop restaurant and the Card Shop.
Acting on behalf of the landlord, Leo Llewellyn of Emanuel Jones commented: “Cardiff is well known as being the city of arcades. The recent refurbishment by the landlord to the interior of the arcade strikes the perfect balance between Victorian and modern architecture, providing a unique shopping experience. I believe Cartref a Gardd will make a fine addition and wish them the longevity that other tenants within the arcade have had.”
Founder of Cartref a Gardd, Marc Thomas also added: “A physical premises was always a dream of ours. Thanks to everyone involved, we have now created what we hope will be a unique destination store. Cartref a Gardd are so excited to be a part of the beautiful and ever-evolving Dominions Arcade.”
Following the letting, the Landlord commented: “Cartref a Gardd is an exceptional addition to Dominion’s Arcade, complementing the Welsh theme within the arcade with its unique local products. In late August the arcade will also see the opening of Bute & Co Coffee House, a Victorian inspired coffee house with extensive lounge area that will offer handmade sandwiches and wonderful cakes. Following many years of development on the site, it is wonderful to see one of the historic arcades in the City thriving once again.”
